New COVID-19 update

Hello to all of our valued - and greatly missed - students. As you may have heard, during an update on November 24, 2020, Alberta Premier Jason Kenney declared this year's second State of Public Health Emergency for the province, which came with a new list of further restrictions that they will be enforcing in another effort to flatten the curve of Covid-19 as confirmed cases continue to skyrocket.  See more here:  https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/edmonton/covid-alberta-news-conference-kenney-hinshaw-1.5814089 Or here: https://www.alberta.ca/coronavirus-info-for-albertans.aspx Included with these restrictions is an extension of at least 3 weeks to pauses in Group Fitness & Dance Classes, and a second closure of all community centres, with reassessment scheduled for December 15th. Those restrictions mean that we must unfortunately postpone all in-person classes until at least December 15th, 2020.  While this news is as disappointing to us as we're sure it is for all of you, we have always been, and will continue to be a team that puts the health and well-being of our students, volunteers, teachers and communities first.  While there is some great news regarding vaccines on the horizon, we understand that there is still work to be done while we all await their arrival, in an effort to make sure that when social gatherings are permitted again, no one is missing.  To help ensure those of you with time-sensitive dance lessons can finish classes with enough time to feel fully prepared for your event, we are still offering online lessons via Zoom, Skype, and Facetime. We will be in contact with you in the coming days to arrange online lesson booking. If you are unable to take part in online lessons, we will be offering you priority booking after reopening to make sure you have enough time to prepare.  If your lessons are not time-sensitive, but you would still like to continue your lessons in an online format, please contact us at your soonest convenience to book your times! To all of the parents in our Youth Dance Program, we know that you are going through an especially difficult time right now, what with the many changes to the school systems and schedules. We want you to know that we are committed to ensuring that a FULL SEMESTER is offered to all of our students. While we have already extended the Youth Dance Program into the middle of April to make up the time lost in the current pause, we are pleased to announce that we will now be extending this semester to May 22, 2021, which gives all students not only a full semester, but includes an additional 3 classes free-of-charge. Thank you for sticking with us during these uncertain times.  All of our calendars will be updated this week to help you with scheduling when the reopening begins.  Lastly, because so many are going to be affected financially due to this pandemic, for the remainder of 2020, we will be taking 20% off of all of our adult Dance Lesson Packages to make them all more 'covid-sensitive.' This includes the packages in our Secret Santa program as well.  Most importantly, we want you all to know that we are thinking of you. We miss you all, and we hope you and your loved ones are staying safe, and remaining healthy.  We look forward to seeing you all again soon.  As always, if you have any questions or concerns, we are here to help.  Feel free to call or text 1-587-404-4810 or email us at  info@cddancecollective.com
