Singin’ in the Rain, Foxtrot and Musical Theatre Ensemble Choreography Sundays at 6:00 PM September 6, 13, 20 and 27, 2026 Christifer Duxbury Dance Collective via Ballroom & Country Dance Studio 121C 17 Ave NE, Calgary Step into one of musical theatre’s most iconic scenes with a four week performance course inspired by Gene Kelly in “Singin’ in the Rain.” This original Foxtrot and musical theatre ensemble number is being created for A Tribute to Musical Theatre, coming to the stage this October. Throughout the course, dancers will learn choreography designed to transform the stage into a living city street, using movement, formation work and character to help build the world of the number. This course will combine: • Foxtrot inspired movement • Musical theatre choreography • Ensemble formations • Character and performance quality • Musicality and storytelling • Stage awareness and scene building “Singin’ in the Rain” holds a special place in Christifer’s musical theatre background, and this choreography is being developed as both a celebration of the original film and a new performance experience for the CDDC stage. Registration Full four week course: $75 per person First class drop in: $20 per person Drop in registration is available for the first class only. Dancers who wish to continue and perform in the completed piece must register for the full course. Space is limited, and early registration is strongly encouraged.
